It's been fantastic to see our secondary trainees in action this week at the STTA training day! They've had great discussions on effective teaching strategies, professional behaviours, inclusive teaching and supporting SEND learners. All in preparation for starting their placements next week! It's been great to see them getting involved, growing in confidence, and preparing to make a difference in their placements. It's been a fantastic start for our new primary trainees! They have hit the ground running as they begin their journey into teaching - exploring great teaching strategies, looking at how to create strong, engaging introductions to their new classes, and thinking about teacher presence and what makes a confident teacher. One highlight was a fun group challenge - who could add the most unique sticky notes in the time limit when thinking about 'what a confident teacher looks like?' It's been inspiring to see our trainees getting involved, building confidence, and preparing to make a real impact in their placements. We can't wait to see how they continue to grow throughout their training year!
